Got my first bull this year with Trapper model 94 in 45 long colt. At 21 months he had 22 inch spread and had developed a relatively belligerent attitude and was quite adept at tearing down fences.

I was quite surprised that the quarters exceeded the capacity of my spring scale. I'm guessing they were in the 130-140 lbs/ quarter.

I forgot to tell you that he was a hereford. Elk are a lot easier to butcher but good practice just the same.
 
Nope! Shot him while he was trying to dismantle my log round corral in attempting to fight with my herd bull through the fence. I think there is a little Salier blood in there. They resemble a red buffalo with longhorn horns.
