I finally finished my encore. Last year Illinois allowed us to hunt with strait walled cases. So I bought a 45-70 barrel and the build began. It shoots awesome, and kicks pretty good for such a light gun. I had a muzzle brake installed, cerakote black graphite applied and had the stocks dipped in Veil Wideland. It has a Bellm trigger job and oversized pin. Topped with a VX3 3.5-10 and Leupold base and dovetail rings. I'm ready for that buck this year!

They will interchange. Pro Hunter barrels are longer but they all can be swapped in the other frames.

Oh, it's a rifle...
I was thinking Contender.
Was gonna say, 45-70 out of a pistol, your more man than me! Lol

Nice looking rifle though!!
If ported, it's amazing how tolerable the 45-70 is in a contender frame.

The encore I have kicks quite a bit in 45-70. Slightly more than a 12 gauge slug IMO.

That's a 15" barrel on the contender frame wearing Fajen Big shot or 'push-pull' grip.
It's a pistol and it's not ported.
The wrists and elbows act as McPherson struts to detent recoil.
Ya just gotta keep your grip and let it roll up on ya
I generally handload to my tolerance
Here's a Bear!
