Finally

Congrats! I myself retired shortly after the first Iraq war. I never got called into combat so I can't blame my lameness on wartime injuries like you and others experienced. I got artillery ears from years in the Marine Corps when they fired the 155mm howitzers and only hearing protection required was fingers in your ear back then. Sometimes they fired without warning anyone standing nearby and that concussion from the shock waves as the shell leaves the barrel is something else. I also got numbness in my left foot ever since I slipped on a forced march and slid down the side of a steep slope. But other than that, I was lucky and got out relatively healthy.

Ha! Congratulations! I punch the retirement button on my birthday Monday. As you know, we can punch a year out. Will have 34+ years when I go. Getting tired! lol Thanks for your service.
