Few critters from yesterday

Nice start to the day.

Found what I was looking for, 5 adults and 2 young.

I am guessing this one had some young in the area as well.

Love the Curlew shot.
I had a lot of fun one evening last month watching a Curlew trying to herd up her chicks after I stumbled onto their hidey hole. Really awkward entertaining birds.

I swear these guys know the difference between when I am working and when I am packing a rifle. Has this guy around 75 yards for over a minute before he finally saw a my pick-up sitting there.

This guy, about 200 yards further down the road, was even dumber...and uglier.

Looks like someone needs to brush out that last coyote. I love the sounds from those long billed curlews. What are the birds in the first pic, some type of plover? Great photos!

It will be some time before they bounce back. I put in over 200 miles in north Blaine and saw less than 20.
