Few birds

Opener wasn't what I was hoping for, but we did get a couple woodies. I was sure I had two drakes. Apparently GuNR picked up someone elses hen.


Day two was better. Bag full of drakes.


This morning was pretty slow, but we got a limit of mallard drakes and a GWT. I blew it on a nice wigeon drake, but at the end of the day I wasn't at work. Might be that way for a bit.

Congrats on some good hunts.
Good luck with the job. I was deemed unessential for our state government shutdown a couple years ago. Sucks that we suffer because somebody else can't do their job.... At least it's happening during hunting season though!

My opener was a little slow here too, but one of my son-in-laws and I did scratch down 6 birds after all was said and done on Saturday. Not many ducks in the area yet. And I hope to get back out this coming weekend.

Very nice, Craig! We went out and shot 4 ducks and 3 geese this morning. Good start for the season.
