Mine too BHR..hope to see some next weekend in the hill country. Bluebonnets also.

I like the way lupine funnels the rain to the stem.

It's hard to miss the beauty of the Indian Paintbrush and Bluebonnets intermingled on a hillside.
I am afraid you might be a couple weeks too late, NHY. I have been going to Austin every week for the last couple of months, and it appears like the bloom is already on the down side.

Nice shot, BHR. Those purple shooting stars are my favorite spring flower; also I like to put glacier lilies in my sandwich.

I'm sticking to my story Jeff.:)

I think Stephanie is my favorite wildflower, you know, the babe that keeps popping up on this site for the online chat.AND she is only 2.8 miles from my location.Yeah,right...I know for a fact there is no such woman like that in Three Forks.(except for my wife).;):D

Wild azalea. Too bad it doesn't last long. Always a toss up between these and mountain laurel. But these are tougher to find.

Can't wait to get back to our shack in OR to take down the snow walls. Knowing we will be pushing Memorial Day due to grand babies I am looking forward to the blooms of daffodils. Deer do not LIKE the taste of daffodils and will leave them alone (old curmudgeon tip). However they WILL chew on my quaky starts as will the range cattle.

Alright guess I will be a sport.all those flowers on grassy slopes at 10000 ft. in June/July.

Here in W. Oregon it has to be the trillium and venus slipper. However, bear grass has to rate right up there.

While some Hunt Talkers are bear hunting others are taking pics of wild flowers. Odd.:)

Plenty of time left to bear hunt. Most of they places I like to go are still ass deep in snow. Slash burning season is coming to an end soon, though. :D

Never seen bluebonnets before. Probably looks like a meadow full of camas in bloom.
