Please don't take this as bragging. Tonight while watching tv, I noticed something in the front window. It was 2 whitetail does in the front yard which is only 20 ft wide. Shortly thereafter I again noticed movement and stood up and 5 pt bull was standing in the front field watching tv about 30 yds from the house. When I went to the window there were three bulls in the field. In the adjacent field the other 7 nuisences were waiting to see if the coast was clear so they could graze at the house. We put our shoes on and had to walk them about 600 yds before they got the idea that they would likely have to wait for dark before dinner was served.

This morning the wind quit blowing long enough so I could reseed the swampy portions of my front field now that it is only damp as opposed to a rice patty. The entire field is perferated with elk tracks. This will continue for another month until I start cutting hay and they start to move off the summer range. It's a little like living in the city next to a continuous party. Not quite as noisy except for when they stroll through the yard next to the dog kennels at 5 am. I can hardly wait for hunting season when I can get some payback or at least attempt it.
