Wish I could have gotten a better picture of this but the object hanging outside of the driver's window is a chucky doll with a knife. The driver looked exactly how you are imagining him.

My wife talks/jokes about how when she was a kid if her dad had to take the kids anywhere they would all pile into the single cab farm truck that had no seatbelts. She has 3 siblings.

I’ve driven through that town a bunch of times. For some reason the only thing I can ever remember is an outhouse with a crescent moon cut out of the door.
