Sunday Wes (My Hunting Buddy) and I along with my son took Mac and Tessie (New Mules) out with my son's Appy. We had to try and calm Mac down by leading him behind my son's horse for a while, just letting him burn up some energy. Then Wes got on as Travis and I lead Mac around with Wes on board. Wes was on Mac when he just exploded! I tried to hold him back but he was too strong.
Wes and Mac took off straight away for about 40 or 50 yards and then turned to the left when I saw Mac buck Wes off, he hit hard breaking 2 ribs and lacerating his head and suffering a concussion. He was taken to LSU Medical Center for Cat Scan and is suppose to be let go today.
Other than that it was just an average Sunday afternoon! Chit! You can't sling mashed taters into the ground any harder than what Wes hit! I mean he was out and said he didn't remember anything until he was on his way to the hospital in the ambulance! We are looking for a real old gentle shetland pony or something like that now! LOL Wes was eating and feeling better when the wife and I left last night. I know he will feel better when he gets the neck collar off. He got out late Monday.
Travo and I did not draw for the 3rd season Cow Elk. Major Bummer! I might just get an over the counter Bull tag.
We have been going through a Kitchen remodel...started out real good, 7 weeks ago! When the wife said the cabinets she wanted had been disscontinued the Contractor said "I can make you the best Custom Cabinets out of Birch that money can buy" He put them in yesterday and I told him to pull those second class things out of my house! Now I am in chin deep in Poo and the Contractor and the Wife are throwing Turds at me!
Needless to say it was quite lively around there last night with all the screaming and squalling, But I am better now. I woke up to find the wife had slept in the front Living room, so I thought I would reassure her things would work out. So I sat on the large cusion in the center of the sectional to speak to her....smashed her glasses flatter than a fritter! Yeah, things are really going good this week! John
