I'm sure this will fall on def ears ...but as someone who some how managed to survive a 20+ foot fall out of climber please change your mind.

I remember the story… Wasn’t too long after I joined the forum IIRC.

I teach hunter ed a couple times a year and one of my dedicated sessions is in tree stand safety. If you fall out of a stand, there are worse fates than death…. Living the rest of your life drinking jello through a straw and getting your diaper changed haha. I do quite a bit of saddle hunting and I still am cautious about checking ropes and pulleys. You never know when a weld might break on a platform either. They don’t make stuff like they used too
 
Depends on where I'm hunting like others have said. If I'm familiar with the area, I'll go in before light to be set for that 30 minutes before light shooting time. If I'm not familiar, I may drive to where I need to then head in right at daylight. Most of the hunting I do is on my farm so we're usually set before daylight.
