About 15 pages ago there was stories. Might even be able to pick out a ram that got killed.....Only 1 reported in 500 and 1 ram from 501. All others are currently reporting zero. I guess they got all the big boys last year!
This is a good idea; however, I fear a lot of controversy over how old a ram is. As you know, a lot of these Gallatin and Beartooth sheep are timber sheep and as they get older their horns can collect sap making it really hard for anyone to accurately age them. There have been rams killed that I know for a fact are 10-12 and they’re on the kill report as 7. Everyone’s doing their best I’m sure but the kill report accuracy is somewhat dependent on who checks the ram in.
A great idea for a dall sheep, or even a bighorn hunt where the rings are easily distinguished (Breaks, etc).
Seems appropriate for the weather forecast.Y'all need to talk less and post more ram pictures. Who cares what @Gerald Martin thinks. Post em up.

Ata boy! Get us back on track.
Lightening the load!!
Don't forget Theat, our recent repeater!@buffybr has a few mixed in this now 141 page thread. There is one just a few pages back with him and a dog that is awesome. I know Shines and Gomer have some here as well.

Good going! It took me a minute but I found it.
Congrats on the billyI did get a Billy. There is a bit of a story. I will get it up here in a day or 2. Send me a pm with your unit , I may have some very hot intel for you.
It could also get quite interesting for those equipped with the proper gear and mindset. It could get pretty rough in there in the next few days with the winter storm coming in 12 to 18 inches expected. Hope nobody has problems.
Isn’t there a road or a gas station nearby you can glass from?View attachment 197496
Same can be said for good snowshoes. I had a cheapo pair that I tried using one year. Snapped one in half a couple hours from the truck. Made for a long and tiring hike out and effectively ended my hunt.
That's a great shot, though for solo hunters an avalanche beacon is just dead weight (intentional double entendre). One of the few hunts where I wear an Avalanche Beacon.
