Couldn't get this bull to leave his cows tonight. Must have been one hot cow the way he was acting. I definitely was going to shoot him if he hoped the fence. Any guesses on score? Im trying to get better at field judging.

@Hams42 how far from Billings do you typically travel to elk hunt? Came from Boze and trying to figure my way around… I’d agree just over 300”. I’d be pretty amazed if it was in the 2’s from the photos…

I was going to say the same thing. I was watching a diy hunt on youtube the other day and this group of hunters got together in Wyoming I believe and they got to within around 200 yards of a herd of elk with two bulls that were both six points and they said no that's not what we're looking for. Blew my mind.

Depends on the unit is have a tag for or if im hunting general units. Could be an hour could be 5...
