Some may not know of the Edmund Fitzgerald but it's 50 years today that it went down on Lake Superior in a gale. Gordon Lightfoot sang a ballad in memory of the sinking in 1976

I did a quick search but didn't read the content. It's great that the link to the song was posted. I remember the news blurb when it sank then hearing the ballad a year later sent chills up my spine.
