Edit a MT Elk Application

Hey guys! Just wanted to ask here before I call in this afternoon. I did my dad's party app for elk, we're just going for the big game combo however we're applying for a permit as well to gain a preference point. I wasn't thinking but when I did his big game combo I selected "I am not applying for an elk permit" when my buddy who already applied selected the "If not successful in the permit drawing I'd like to retain my big game combo". Our odds of drawing the unit are like 3% but I'd like to edit my dads app so there's no conflicts in the party.

Any way to do this online or do I need to call in? Also is this even possible to edit an app?

I'd call. I goofed on an elk application and they were more than happy to fix it...that being said it was an electronically submitted application for a single person application and was more than a week before the deadline.

You may be S.O.L but it's worth a shot

I only think we're screwed if we somehow ended up drawing that unit... Other than that we should still be fine with getting just the big game combo licenses like we intended to. Correct?

I'll be calling within the hour to debunk this.

Are you saying you think we'll be fine for the big game combo license application but for the permit application it'll be voided due to the conflict in the big game combo license app where one checked "I am not applying for an elk permit" and the other checked "wish to retain if unsuccessful"? If that's the case I'm fine with that.

just talked to the licensing department after an hour on hold lol she said we're fine that my dad's application will default to "wish to retain our big game combo if unsuccessful in the permit drawing"

cool, hope it works out for you and you guys draw . I dunno why but im nervous about drawing . I put in for big game combo and I have a pref point . so I would guess ill draw but I have a weird feeling.

LOL I can't even find last years combo numbers def isn't anywhere to see them before draw. I'd love to see all states do what Wyoming does publish them as they do the draws.

I forgot to add my second choice for elk this year, so I called F&G and they added it for me!

Well it's my tenth year. If I don't draw I will just go to Canada or some where I can get a license.
