Thought it would be interesting to see what the holiday meal of the day is.

For us it’s more traditional: ham, taters, asparagus, corn and fresh bread.

What’s on your table this afternoon?

In Laws Yearly Easter Bash

Big 'bring something' covered dish family & friends shindig in the country yesterday. Brisket tacos were my favorite...varied selection of good 'ol country comfort food...numerous desserts, and my daughter's delicious 'nana' pudding. More little'uns every year seeking eggs and 'accidently' falling in the stock tank. (Eagle eyed lifeguards stationed)...

Happy Easter everyone

Pronghorn stuffed mushrooms and brisket tacos sound very interesting. My ham now seems not so interesting.

Ham
cauliflower-potato salad
green beans simmered with ham and onions
mini sweet pepper poppers
deviled eggs
cheese ball
yeast rolls......all cooked by this guy

Started this morning with beer brat tacos..then for this afternoon,
Ham
Potato Salad
Bush Beans
Yeast rolls
Cherry Pie/Ice Cream

Baby back ribs
Beef brisket
Potato salad
Spinach salad with bacon and hard boiled eggs
Home made ice cream covered in strawberries and chocolate sauce

Boiled dinner. Ham, potatoes, carrots, and cabbage all boiled together in a big pot. I'll definitely have to keep some of these other meals in mind for another day. Happy Easter everyone.

Had a light brunch at my sister's place today. Plenty of goodies to munch on. Made our dinner yesterday. Smoked a beef rib roast for smoked prime rib. Also made twice baked potatoes and asparagus.

All went smooth today and even got a surprise from my sister with fresh strawberries and shortcake. Happy Easter everyone!

Holding down the couch myself. Started feeling puny Friday morning and haven't gotten any better since. Missed out on ham, all the fixins, pies, cakes and other assortments at my mother-in-law's today. The wife is supposed to bring me a bunch home, but I don't feel much like eating it. But I am still drawing breath and He still rose from the grave, so I'm good. Happy Easter everyone.

Smoked tri tip
Homemade Mac and cheese
Cubes potatoes with bacon and cheese
Baby back ribs
Grape salad
Biscuits

Lasagna which is weird for Easter dinner I know, but it is what my sisters wanted. I provided the mountain oysters from some calves I bought earlier this week.

The Jefferson City VFD Easter Egg Hunt consists of hundreds of dyed hard boiled eggs. Meaning my kids came home with about 40 hard boiled eggs. Meaning I have eaten 20 or so deviled eggs so far with more to come. That, and prime rib cooked by the FIL. Gonna be a gassy Monday.
