Four of us averaged points and drew n!nety f!ve in Wyoming. Two of the guys were going to head there next week and start hunting. The Dollar Lake Fire looks like it's not slowing down at all and the road closures pretty much shut off access to most of the elk country south and east of the Green River. In fact, where it is currently burning was where we were going to plan to bow hunt in September. We had some good intel and boots on the ground scouting around the mountain that fire is burning up, but there goes that plan. We weren't planning to hunt any wilderness (all non-residents) so the fire doesn't impact us from that perspective. Right now I think we are just going to shift our focus north and east where there is road access into our hunting area.

Anyone here close to that situation or have any updates? I know it's been evacuated so hopefully any forum members from that area or with friends and family in that area are safe. That fire really blew up over the weekend.

If you are looking for up to date information on the fire, download the Watch Duty app on your phone, scroll to the fire, click on it and select “turn on notifications for this incident.” You will get a notification every time they post new information. Scroll down through the fire information and it has road closures and evacuation zones, etc.
