On March 1st in 1872, Yellowstone became the first national park in the world. Located on 2.2 million acres in Wyoming(and small sections of Idaho and Montana), the park houses an expansive collection of geothermal phenomena. The "Old Faithful" geyser is one of the park's most famous attractions,though more than 10,000 other geysers and hot springs can be found on the premises. The park is home to a host of wildlife, including grizzly bears,wolves,elk, and bison.
