Probably about to send in a pair of Cabelas Meindl Perfekt boots for him to resole.

Seems like he is well regarded around here. Has anyone tried his insoles? Offers German insoles and super feet trailblazer insoles. Are they good? Anyone tried both that can speak to the differences?

I’ve used him for repairs. He does good work. I bought a set of the Trailblazer insoles and wasn’t totally blown away by them.
So not worth $48, huh? Do you have an insole that you usually use?

I normally just use the $15-20 Dr Scholls work gel insoles from Wally World. Decent arch support and don’t cost a ton. But I want to find something that gives good enough support for pack outs

Im not sure he's actually doing any of the work anymore. I'm shooting 50/50 with success from his shop. He's a grumpy man that doesn't like to be told the boots he just fixed needed to be returned due to poor workmanship...my soles were not completely glued and started to separate the day I put them on. Seems new reviews are similar experiences

Interesting. I had seen a few reviews on yelp and they either loved him or hated him. I’d heard positive feedback on here, so I was weighting my decision based upon that. I was hoping that doing this for half the price of kenetreks would get me a few years since Danner Pringhorns seem to have gone down in quality over the past few years, which was my other option

Random thought on insoles. I have a fancy set of orthopedic custom insoles from the podiatrist, various super feet insoles, and some new balance insoles molded to my feet in store at a trail running shop. New balance insoles were $90, but had a 30 day guarantee I would like them. I think they are as good as my custom ones. Super feet can be good if you get the right ones.

Never heard of the guy until a few weeks ago. Sent some Salewa boots in for warranty repair, to their specified shop in Boulder. Next thing I know I'm getting emails from Dave Page, Cobbler, in Washington stating he has my boots and I will have them back in 2 weeks. I got them back as noted, and all seems fine with the repair.

I had Mr. Cobbler here in town resole a pair of Crispi boots 2 years ago. Still going strong. Just another option for boot repair.

Which insoles work best is very boot dependent. Some boots have built in arch support so you dont want to add much with an insole. Volume inside a boot varies a lot between different brands and lasts which impacts how much volume you want taken up by an insole. I think i've got at least 3 different versions of superfeet in boots and they differ because each boot fit differs. I think i have factory insoles in my hoffman boots as well - they have pretty good support the way they came.

Twice I have had boots resoled by Dave. Top quality work on boots that local shops said could not be resoled. And done on time. Highly recommended.
