No, Yuchi WMA. Some people think that it’s a trophy destination due to antler restrictions (which are lifted for youth hunts), but most deer that I see there are no bigger than surrounding areas.

Lots of deer out there. We were really hoping for a doe or two, and they want them taken badly. We went back Sunday afternoon and had one trot through, but it wouldn’t stop and my daughter couldn’t get a shot. Saw one more deer just before dark, but couldn’t verify buck or doe so no shot there either.

Check out these reactions right after the shot. She actually got light headed and started to throw up/pass out shortly after the field dressing

Congratulations! I enjoyed the same experience with my daughter harvesting her first buck November 2021. Those are memories she will treasure forever. Good times!
