Never had to shoot one in snow before. Not much noise either but i managed to call a few in. This one stuck his head up over the hill and eyeballed me so i let him have it without knowing if it was a Jake or a Tom. Well it was a Jake. After i got the bird I ran across this other fellow down the forest road a bit. What a shocker that was! It was a real small bear, so i looked around and didnt see a mother bear and decided to see if i could tree it. These things are faster than I am.... after he crossed a creek i gave up.

LOL....well, the picture turned out great. I never have much luck taking pictures of myself. Do you use a tripod?

balanced my camera on my fanny pack and used a log to level it all (steep hillsides are a bitch)
It was funny, I seen birds flop around when shot, but never seen one flop down a hill for 20 yards! he rolled down the hill like one of Miller's dates after he kicked her out of his truck
