CPW, New for 2022, ...

Did anyone else notice this at the bottom of their CPW email:

"New for 2022, successful applicants can surrender their drawn license for a refund of the license fee and restoration of their preference points to the pre-draw level."

This should result in an increase in the number of tags normally seen on the reissue list. This year, it's released on August 9.

HAHA... And the point creep continues!!! It was not many years ago we fought to get this changed to the current system. WHy? Because there were a handful of guys in the top units every year who would draw and wait to see what weather did and when the weather was not looking good they hand them back in and get money and points and wait for another year with better weather...

Lots of discussion on this elsewhere in the last couple days.

Basically, you can get pre-draw points and tag fee back until June 6th or something. That tag will then go to the leftover draw (definitely going to a kid) or offered to next in line, or possibly sent to the reissue process. These people actually lose a year of points by not getting one for this year.
