Depending on how far you have to walk with them, I had them on 12’ rebar drowning rods when I could drive up to the creek. Made for easy setting without having to get too far into the water.

Scheels has the Duke pro series traps for a good price and free shipping. Just ordered a DZ Duke 550’s they were $17.99 each I usually run MB but for the price these will work on some of my ground that I might loose some traps on
MIL in town has been having a raccoon party in her backyard, the last week or so. Ended up catching a young one last night in a cage trap that really needed to be rebaited so I can’t quite figure out why it ended up in the trap. Was making a racket in the trap and mama raccoon was nearby making an equal racket. So made a midnight trek to go get it and take it out of town for dispatch. Didn’t want to get her in trouble with her neighbors. Tossing a few more cage traps out in her backyard to see if they all come back tonight.
