Here is a predator call I just finished. This one was turned out of the solid end of a cow horn.

What do you use to get that high polish?

After turning, its sanded from 180 to 1500, not skipping any grits, then 0000 steel wool, Brasso, fine rubbing compound, and final buffing with a cloth diaper. There is no finish on the call, just sanding and polishing!

tjones, that is badazz! How does the density of horn compare to woods like cocobola or maple?

I now want a cowhorn goose call.
