Corner Crossing Article - Montana

I know most of the folks quoted in that article. The Monitor is a dang good local newspaper.

1 game warden per 1 million acres. That's crazy. I think I've heard it put as square mile coverage which I always knew they were spread thin but that seems to emphasize the point better.

I have hunted Jefferson County all my life, and still live here. I hunt far more than the average person, almost entirely on publicly accessible ground, and have never seen a game warden while hunting here, and only once in the Tobacco Root mountains when I got back to my truck. I think we underestimate poaching rates.

Not on Lee Comito’s place, apparently?
It’s a short read…
Sounds like many landowners, outfitters and outdoors people alike, want to see legal corner crossing put into law in Montana.
