Construction, busy or slowing down

That surprises me. Is that verified? Must be corporate had more sway (Money) then the union. But the union would have more voters.
I googled it. Take that for what it is. But he's a CPA here so im assuming he knows what he's talking about. MY guess is it may have had more to do with the majority of unions endorsing the other guy?

Bumping this thread. How's everyone else's outlook? Owner of the company says this year they are already booked above what we totaled for least year and were only 6 weeks in. My local shared the same report that both housing, data centers and infrastructure are set to break records this year. My cousin interviewed with a company today that is offering our scale plus an additional $4k per diem and paid housing per month to travel. If I was a single guy I would be on that like flies on shit.

It’s booming around me. In fact, the bought and paid for UT Legislature has passed a law that gives developers the ability to bypass local planning and zoning boards and go directly to the Lieutenant Governor to get approval for their projects. Also bypasses all environmental, infrastructure, feasibility and other checks and balances that a proposed development is a good addition to a community. Basically, developer writes a big campaign donation check and then gets to do whatever the hell they want.

Sounds about right. ( not right just on par I guess)

Busy as a beaver around here!
I'm finding within my travels/associates its hit and miss. Pretty standard. If money was easy we'd all be living a good life.

An industry colleague was let go yesterday because a candidate up for a role called and asked why they weren't selected so they could improve. He was honest that they just hit a few bullet points they didn't. Extremely receptive he(candidate)was.

Ownership freaked.

While I get Legal Implications, as an over 20 year HM myself I've 0 issues with Honesty. I've sent more people onto rewarding careers before they ever left my office. I'll make the call to where you'll fit even though it might not be here.

For some reason, that triggers people now.....

I was layed off over money. I get it even after giving almost 30 years to something I loved to do. Right people, right places actually isn't a check box. My best talent appeared in the most unlikely places.

Just like business opportunities.
