Haha! They are security blankets for adults.
Haha!
I have other security blankets too. Like a spare tire, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and other items that I hope I don’t need to use.
Cool thing about my security blanket is I use it for more than just protecting myself from man eating critters. It’s accounted for a few menacing grouse though. Honestly never had a bad encounter with a critter in the woods and don’t anticipate it.
I always had the same problem until a couple years ago. my cousin does leather work and he made me a hip holster with just enough drop to clear the hip belt of my pack, without being so low it flops around or anything. It works great and I really like it so far.I thought the same thing until I tried it. Last thing I wanted to do was add a whole bunch more crap to my bino harness. I swear, some of these setups are like wearing a backpack on your chest. I’m usually packing a model 20 or 21 in mine so it’s not too thick. A revolver would probably be too much for my liking. I’m super tickled with it instead of fighting hip holsters banging on my stock and interfering with hip belts on packs.
