I googled it. Take that for what it is. But he's a CPA here so im assuming he knows what he's talking about. MY guess is it may have had more to do with the majority of unions endorsing the other guy?

I'm not entirely sure either. Id bet it's dependent on trade/agreement.

I know there's a lot of people really excited about it - who might not see the deduction or at least all of it because of income limits.

That sucks. So the next question will be. I assume that scale wages are considered collective bargaining agreement. Which may mean that guys are way less excited about being on a scale job.
