Compounds- How old is too old?

2011 Mathews Z7 extreme is still my main bow. 330 ibo nearly 7.5 inch brace. Easy to shoot and carry.
2006 Ross cr34 my bread and butter elk killer is my back up. So smooth, nearly 8 inch brace. Just plain works. Speed is overrated.
New stuff with 5 and 6 inch brace doesn't excite me for a few extra pounds of speed.
if the archery industry started making bows with a large brace again, with 330 plus speed, instead of going short, I might get interested in something new, but the industry has been static for awhile. But the marketing is pretty awesome to convense you need to buy a new one every year.

I have 3 Mathews Switchback XT's that were made from 2006 - 2008. I shoot and hunt with all three of them, which are rigged out identically except for different sight set ups. I have actually tried newer bows, but these old icons just work better for me and have never let me down or caused me to want for more.

Great bows. On of the best ones made.

I still shoot my 04 Hoyt ultratec. But after shooting my dads newer Mathew’s this year, I think it might be time. 😬IMG_2177.jpeglast years bull.
