I had to drive to Portland today to a US Customs & Border Protection office and get my form 4457 to take a rifle to Africa. I don't leave the farm much and you can tell from the mud on my truck, so last night I washed it. Woke up this morning with the temp around 20* and the doors froze shut on my truck - note to self, don't wash the truck anymore. Luckily remote start got me into the truck after about 15 minutes. The trip down and back was about 360 miles, but the Gorge is quite scenic and I hadn't been to the fish hatchery at Bonneville Dam in many years, so I got in a little sight-seeing as well. On a frustrating note, the guy who did the rifle inspection at the C&BP office said there's one in Moses Lake, WA - that would have saved 125 miles of driving. I had even asked earlier on the phone if they had an office closer to where I live than Portland or Seattle. Oh well, enjoy the pics.
