Hey Guys,
I've hunted this area for 3yrs now w/ not a whole lot of luck for elk.My Dad did get a nice 5pt 2 yrs ago but all I ever see are young bulls w/ not enough to be legal.We hunt out of Dove Creek up in the Salter Canyon area.I've found the hunting is better when there is snow up high.So to you Colorado guys hows it looking this yr for an early snow.I'll be out for the 2nd rifle season.I'll get a bull tag Dad has a cow tag & I also have a deer tag.Usually do pretty good on the deer just no luck on elk yet.Also anyone know of any honey hole in there they want to divulge to an ole Ga. cracker.LOL!!! Well anyway I'll be there for another try.Besides it's about the hunt to me & spending time w/ my Dad before it's to late.
