What is your infatuation with making unprovoked personal attacks? All you ever do on this forum is bitch & moan. Often about money. Then you come on here pointing fingers.

I’d like to see one spot on here where I’m bitching and moaning. Think the only 2 times I’ve ever brought up money is on this thread with you and the Wyoming thread this year when after some donations my cost randomly came to 2026 and I made a joke about maybe it being my lucky year. Kinda funny to come to a place like this and ask someone’s opinion then get all pissy about it. Probably shouldn’t ask if the pants make you look fat if you don’t want the answer.

You are very quickly climbing on my radar. I’m publicly addressing this because I need you to understand what is going on, but I also need some others (not gasner) to lay off.

I’ve personally watched you go into random threads that you had no business in to tag mallard and respond to his stuff only. Your responses were never constructive and borderline “attack” style. We call that trolling and it’s completely unnecessary.

I also watch you continually talk out of both sides of your mouth all over this page. People will give you really sound advice and then you’ll just pick it apart. People try to offer you life perspective and help you try to ground yourself going into retirement and you just ignore it.

I’m not honestly sure if you’re looking for people’s advice or for people to just feel bad for you. Maybe you can give more context.

cgasner has given you very sound advice in many of threads. Some where other users were sick of your antics, but he still gave you good info.

But now you want to call him a troll.


You’ve reported three users now in 3 days for “personal attacks” for things that you either started, over exaggerated, or enabled.

Last, I see you on multiple forums asking the same stuff.

If you were solely here just asking I’d imagine maybe someone might step in, but when members are across multiple platforms searching for the same information, it’s hard to feel like you value this forum and these members.


I hope your health improves and I hope you can hunt multiple hunts a year on your new SS income.

But until you actually want to take input from others and don’t want to cause drama, and want to give constructive material to the page, I’d suggest you go look elsewhere.

I do find it interesting how some people view the preferences points as being devalued but I’ll be able to potentially draw a tag randomly that I never could have before.

I also agree with this and that’s why I’m not actively trying to dump my points on a less than unit.

I do have enough to draw my deer unit this year and it was part of my plan. As far as elk I’m ok with waiting to try the new method out.

Same. Having been a beneficiary of a Hybrid Pronghorn tag a couple of years ago that I wouldn't have drawn for ~20 years, the Random aspect is a plus for me.

I have been about a point behind the Elk hunt I want - Hybrid odds are <1% like all Hybrid draw tags. Most years they are worse than my Sheep odds. So I look at it as - today I have a <1% chance. In 2 years, that number goes up, and probably by a lot.

I do understand guys that are "Max" points (or super close to it) not liking it, though. Pressure to 'go now' is high.

I’ve always been anti preference points. I’m not the one that built the system I just have to play the game

My chances of drawing the elk tag I'm after in Colorado was 7% in 2024 with my points. With the extra point in 2025 my odds were 9% and I have a feeling my odds won't be much better this year. Before the announcement of the changes it was jumping about a half point a year. Yet the pronghorn tag I apply for hasn't really changed much. But I attribute that to
nobody else wanting to torture themselves chasing them with a muzzleloader.


I like the new changes for the most part gives me a shot at hunts I'd otherwise never had a shot at. I would just prefer to go into the changes with as few points as possible.

Agree, It’s going to be nice to at least have a shot at drawing some units I never considered but I think it’ll just keep getting worse for the lower point units.

It’ll be interesting when otc rifle goes away and we’re officially required to use points for a tag.

With the PP point code going away and the only way to accumulate a point is by applying for a unit and not drawing it. There will be a ton of guys having to apply now. Last year, 80k NR applied for just an elk point and 73k NR for a deer point.

Currently sitting on 6 points and I remember reading about it when all the changes got passed and thinking to myself this will be worth waiting a few years for things to level out and I bet I can draw a great tag. Time is on my side thought I hope
