Drew my first ever tag in Colorado, its a muzzle-loader doe lope tag in GMU 15, 26, 231.

Talked to someone at CPW about where to find lope in the area, and they were helpful and they also recommended I pick up a leftover bear tag, allegedly there is a huge overpopulation of bears in units 26/231.

Also plan to bring a shotgun and fishing gear and go for some doves and trout while in the area, time permitting.

What is the point of this post? Well, I guess I'm just excited about this trip I;m starting to plan so why not post about it on this hunting forum?

Also, if anyone has any info about the area they would be kind enough to share, publicly or via pm, that would be great, lol.

Should be a ton of fun! I'd keep the shotgun and the pole with you, never know when you might spot some grouse on the side of the road or find a good fishing hole. Just make sure you have your priorities straight and focus on your main goal until you complete that. Nothing worse than trying to hunt big game, birds, and score some fish all in one trip and come home completely empty handed. Ask me how I know lol
