Colorado - Elk tags for everyone

If you're coming, bring 4 buddies. It will increase your odds of actually getting to taste an elk steak. Last year 21% of Colorado elk hunters were successful.

Yeah, I'm bringing along a couple buddies/human pack mules. They drew either-sex tags, I didn't use my points. The historic success rates say we should get 1.75 elks.

Some people are consistently higher, some are consistently lower.

Colorado has lots of oportunity, but that is not saying they are easy. They are still elk. I have worked my ass off for every elk that I have killed. Between my boys and me, we are 8 for 8 in Colorado and every one was a tough packout on our backs.

Great hunts, but you have to get after them.
