My buddy and I had a great trip in Colorado this year. There had been a significant snowfall in the area about a week before the second season started. We decided to head into the high country and see if the deer were still up there. Plenty of snow, up to our knees in some spots, but the bucks were still up there. I'll keep it short and sweet, as I like Oak's style of storytelling.
It was pretty chilly.
On the second day we moved areas, and I spotted a group of 4 bucks in the morning sun. I missed the biggest one twice!
My buddy was able to connect on the second biggest, which was no slouch.
Still up high.......
We Scored on this bull on day 2 also.
The work started. We hung the bull in a tree, and started packing.
The pack out just about killed me.
I was able to take this buck, (a little lower) later in the week. It was a great trip, We had a great time, but worked our butts off.
