“Cold Shot” of the Day ‘25

Just out of curiosity: what do you HT'rs consider "Acceptable Accuracy"?

I've been generally leaning towards 1"/10 yards. So at 40 yards, 4" would be acceptable to me.

Frequently Banned Troll would settle for just getting on the target

First round from 30.
I’ve been battling this setup for a while, and finally am starting to get back to the consistency and confidence I had with my old bow that I never should have traded in.
Whether it be switching sites, a new string, new arrows, new broadheads, adjusting anchors, and tweaking form, I’ve been chasing one thing or another over the course of a few years.
Shooting more consistently this summer has definitely helped me pin down a couple of the issues.

I’m in a very similar situation. Have been shooting much more consistently this year and have been following this thread from the get go. Finally have my bow where I want it. Now to focus on my shortcomings. Two shots taken over the weekend. First at 29yds. Second at 42. Both estimated and measured after the shot. IMG_4828.jpegIMG_4826.jpeg

30yds. First time shooting in two weeks. Used to shoot almost every day in the summer, but this is the first time in 10 years I haven’t had a target right out my back door makes it hard to get motivated to make the effort to go down the road to where I can shoot.

Took the target to my folks place, they got a two story place on a hill with a pretty steep drop off the back, better than shooting from the roof of my single story rancher to mimic so cliffy stuff and test the 3rd axis. Shots were at 27yds

My six year old wanted to foster my quest for better shooting. Drew me a duck to stake to my target. I was pleased with my 42yd shot. He was less than impressed. Best I could do was hit it in the beak on my third and final shot. IMG_4865.jpeg
Dropped back to 70yds today and was pleased. Was planning to make a small timing adjustment and paper tune again, but noticed separated serving on both of my cables. Less than 400 arrows on string/cables! Frustrated to say the least. Local shop has a set in stock, so that’s what I’ll be doing Monday night. IMG_4888.jpeg
