“Cold Shot” of the Day ‘25

Whether you’ve been shooting daily or the bow hasn’t been picked up since your last hunt, archery season will be here before you know it, so it’s time to dig in.

Let’s start an accountability thread!
Force yourself to shoot your bow everyday, snap a picture of your first shot or “cold shot” and then post it in here.


To kick this up a notch, at the end of August, we will compile a list of everyone who participated in this thread and randomly select someone as a “winner”. Thanks to Randy & Matt, the winner will receive a HT Yeti tumbler.

I have been shooting my recurve pretty regularly and while I have no idea how to aim, I feel like I am relatively good at 10 yards. Didn't see this thread in time to take a picture, but trust me, my first shot today was perfect.

I like this idea. I usually don’t start flinging arrows until July/august. Just got a brand new fancy bow with lighter limbs for my old shoulders and have maybe 100 shot through it, with a hodgepodge of junk arrows. Here’s my cold shot and the next 4. Can only get better from here I hope.

I think odds are that that $4,000 plus bow, even at a wimpy draw weight and hitting right, will find a way to take another 360” or better bull.

My 1st slider sight but I only have a 20 yard pin marginally adjusted - $445. Insane
