Just wanted to share some pictures with you guys and gals.
As it turns out, my elk hunt only lasted a couple hours.
The pack out was a bit longer of course, but well worth it.
I was lucky enough to sneak into the middle of two herds, 40 elk total, and took my cow at 20 paces with a 6x7 bull standing right next to her.
Tough old gal ate a quatering away shot from the 7mag and at first I thought I had missed, cause she didn't act like she even noticed. Amazing how strong they are. Then she did the drunken stagger, so I set down the rifle and grabbed my camera to get photos of the bull.
It was a good time is some beautiful country!
I'll throw a couple photos of bucks I saw also.
My thanks to Oak for his help!
