Changes to the Forum Changes

It’s wise to keep growing and changing. Less buttons? More buttons? What are the goals? Collecting data? Conversation?

Is there a new way? What if the poster got to choose? What if they could even choose the emojis?

I personally like the emojis. In long threads I like to show support efficiently, for example. Making a comment for each post is super time consuming. However, I see times for provoking conversations and eliminating the button.

Some folks do really nice jobs with pictures and recipes. Everyone just commenting "nice job" adds nothing to the conversation. If you want to know what lens was used, or have questions about an ingredient, that's worthy of comment, otherwise emojis are more efficient.

I'm the final decision maker on this forum. Like all of my decisions, any time I make a decision it comes with a reservation to change my mind in light of more information.
Newbie question here. I saw this on the top of the page after registering. "Thank you for creating an account on Hunt Talk! We require that all new users contribute at least 10 posts before gaining the ability to start new threads. Once you have made 10 posts, you will be able to start new threads in the forum."

@Big Fin - Does the ability to PM other users also show up after 10 posts? It looks like I do not have that option yet.
Thanks!
