Chainsaw experts…..

That’s a 1:1,000,000 chance. We run them professionally day in and day out and never have any issues.

What exactly is the problem?
Historically, I mean for the last 25 years, when it gets good and warm, like after 20-30 minutes of cutting, it tries to die, you can feather the throttle for another 10-15 minutes but then when it dies it's done until it's cold.

It was getting worse this fall, less than 5 minutes before it would die, so I took it into our licensed repair shop and now it'll idle but chokes with even 1/4 throttle. It'll be going back into the shop tomorrow.

But this has been an issue since year one. My Dad took it to two different shops when they couldn't fix it he gave it to me. I've taken it to three places and I've never gotten a full day of use from it.

My Husqvarna runs all day, day after day. My buddies Stihl runs great. But my Stihl is a POS.

Agreed. I was going to buy one and my wife saw Poulan’s were on sale. I told her I’d buy once, cry once.
I bought a Poo-lan once. Long enouf ago when they had a bowl game named after them.
Got my money out of it, use wise, before it went to $h1it

I had a stihl that did a similar thing. It wouldnt start after getting hot. Would have to let it cool down first. It was one of their homeowner saws, i think a 170. Ended up just giving it to the shop for parts. I did keep the bar. Rest of my stihls are fantastic including my 038 that has cut firewood since 1980. Its the most dependable saw in the fleet.

Homeowner grade saws from many brands don’t measure up. I’ve used both orange brands’ pro saws. I can find models I like in both. I won’t trade my Husky 365 away though.

For a smaller saw Stihl 261, Husqvarna 353, 550, 555 have all been good. Jonsered saws used to be great, just red versions of Husqvarna’s. RIP to the Jonsered brand.
