Catch All Fishing Thread

@seeth07 what the hell is stuck in that walleye? Looks like a porcupine quill or a bamboo skewer.
It’s a floy t-bar tag. Has unique tag number and usually a contact phone number for the agency who tagged it. The end inside the fish is T-shaped on the end, and the T is held behind the fin pterygiophores.

Ohhhh yeah I see that now. Not sure I've ever seen a white one, just colored ones back in WA they'd stick on steelhead. But I don't come across a lot of tagged fish in general.

We put up a ton of fish this summer and got out probably a dozen days so far. Still have a bit left this fall chasing silvers with the kids. The wife and I eat fish probably 5x a week between lunch and dinners.

Dipnetting the Copper River, I hauled fish up about 200ft vertical in a trash can on pack frame, worked slick. Then dipnetting the Kenia and fishing the river. Tried my first starry founder. It was ok, a bit better than an arrow tooth flounder, but pretty soft. Some other trips with the kids and family. Overall been one of the nicest weather summers in a really long time.

We caught several arrow tooth flounders in Kodiak and they all went back in the drink. I had one the captain said was the biggest he'd seen.

How’s the fishing been for everyone this summer? The catching?

Giant shark in a john boat was pretty epic. What’s everyone else got going on? Any fun hatches or truly epic days on the water yet?
My wife and I just back from a few days fishing the Conejos River, CO. Nice fishing! No hatches! No mosquitoes! Fish were hitting on tiny midges. Wife caught a rainbow, brown and RIO Grande cutthroat all within one hour.

Gotta love those Reds. Have fun with the silvers, my favorite.
