the majority of bachelor parties i've attended were cast and blast of sorts.
we held one in south fork once, rented a giant cabin with a hot tub. did a day floating the rio grande with coolers of silver bullets and fly rods. campfires in the backyard. days out casting on the smaller tributary rivers.
we held mine at a ranch several of us in my friend group have connections to, still had to rent the space we stayed in. rode horses, sat in the hot springs on the property, shot lots of guns, killed a shit ton of prairie dogs, drank a lot by the fire at night, spent a half day branding cattle, grilled fat steaks with great views. it was great.
another were we rented a rather remote cabin near leadville. shot a lot, epic campfires passing whiskey, hiked around.
also did a hunting bachelor party a couple years ago. rented a giant cabin with a hot tub, we all got otc tags and cow tags. did some hunting, played a lot of poker, grilled some great steaks. i was the smart one who snagged a deer tag too and shot a cool buck. really good time.
after all those, i think bachelor parties need giant cabins, hot tubs, grills, a giant table for poker, and an appetite for nicotine and whiskey. i've decided the guns are very much optional. days on the river and around giant campfires telling stories and passing bottles of whiskey are much better, unless it's a hunting bach party. even though i don't chew anymore i buy a log for every bachelor party, non negotiable. though i'm not sure there are going to be many more at this point.
