, Well I just got home from walmart and thought I jump in to see whats new. Seem pretty quite in here lately, But hey if you got the short weather there as it is here then I can see why you are not on to much.I got good news thought , I was at walmart getting my cam film process and there are still deer in the area and lots of them.And allso since I lower the cam down the tree I am even picking up squirrels, And YESSSSSSSSS I got turkeys as well on the film.Just wondering if I should post them on here or not We will see but for now I'm going to go and watch tv for a hour. Later guys and don't be scarce and drop a line or two.

Weather is good here as well, just counting the days till fishing season. I've been busy doing taxes and regular business, but going out to a fellas camp at Peltoma Lake for a guys nite out (Friday). Good get away, great time to BBq up deer meat and have a beer. Good to hear there is some game around your hunting spot Trent. I meant to ask if you wish to go fishing here in May, I will have the gear, but you may have to get a license. Suppose you still qualify for a resident license? Also you can use my bike if you and/or the missus want to. You probably can talk Noel into going on a trip with you. Otherwise not much going on, How about you Still? Do you do much fishing? I think Ben is down south, so that is why we don't hear much from him. Take care, talk later. DS

Well they drop the bomb today at work and after six plus years the wood shop is folding and the lease is up at the first of june.I love my job there and it is coming to a end.I will be working else where in the agency and I hope that it works out and I like it as well as my soon to be past job.Today it was nice out til I got off work and now it is raining.While I was out the other day I set up on a second blind as well for deer.Time for me to get ready for dinner as the wife will be home soon, later guys and have a good one , By the way I can get a regular license to fish as well. What is the cost for a license ? ever been to dun-garden in doak town dave? let me know and I will see if it opens there the first of may like every other year and we will go for a day.Me and my sister husband went befor , froze our butt off in the tent but the next morning we did ok fishing.Well time to go , later.

I don't do as much fishing as I would like to Dave with so many things going on with kids and family. But that will all change eventualy. I hope to get out salmon fishing this year at least a couple of times but we will have to see.
Dave when we go out the camp on Oromocto lake should we bring the bows along for a little shooting as well? Just a thought. I have created some bag targets that are very easy to move around and can put a couple in the truck when I come.
Well gotta take my foot outa the water now and check it. Ingrown toenail and it hurts.

Hello guys, Sorry to hear of the job Trent, it'll probably work into something better for you. I think the fishing license is under $20, I usually get salmon license and that is usually around $30, reminds me that I better get my license now instead of last minute. The only time I been on the Dungarvon is in the fall. I know it is scheduled water ( fly only) most of the season, maybe you can worm fish early, I'll check on license $ and if you can worm fish Dungarvon in May.
Hows the foot Still, my daughter suffers from ingrowns, not pretty at times. It takes constant care to avoid infection. Best of luck. I also salmon fish, but not on a regular basis. It is getting too costly as in the travel to get there and then you are only allowed 1 fish ( not that I catch any on a regular basis, few and far between actually) but I find it cheaper to go to store and buy one and spend the time fishing trout, bass or salt water fishing.

Have a great weekend dave and hope the weather holds out for you.Do I know this friend? I know most of the camps around the lake. But alot has change I bet over a few years.I'm thinking about building a camp here next year. Thats if I can get perrmission from the owners of all these farm building that are knock down or falling down. To retreve the boards, And see if the daughter and her husband has to say.Well as far as my job I think it should be ok.Good news came today in a form of a letter address to all the staff threw out the agency. We are getting a raise of 55 cents and after 4 weeks we are getting a bonus of 3% on top of that.Has any one seen that movie broke-back-mountain ? If not then I would not watch it, We rent it yesturday and after a few chatpers gone by I walk away and started sending this message.I got nothing against gay people but I'm not watching it on tv/movie. Ok that subject is drop.I allso got the movie kingkong which I will watch later tonight . Til then have a great one bruce and remember to take asprin befor you go to bed to prevent the hang/headach problem, later.

well how was everyone weekend? It was so so here but ok the most part. We are going to put in a offer to the bank on the double wide we was looking at a few months ago.Knock it in half just because it is one a (As is ) deal and 2 been up for sale for 3plus years. They must want to get it off there books. Hell the worst it could be is a no answer and can sit on it.Weather here is great, I think i'm going to go out to do alittle work around the daughters house. so have a good day all.

Speaking of fishing I and another guy are heading out for a few hours to see if there is any brookie around these streams.I tell you if you are getting the same weather we are getting here as it is warm/hot and nice out.Well it takes me 10 minutes to get to his house and we are suppose to go out in 20 so I need to get going.later

Well you know the saying , a good day fishing is always a better day working, even thought we didn't get a thing. I tell you we seen alot of nice trout in the pool by the bridge but they was not taking a thing. They was coming up for flie. And I don't got a fly rod.Yes Bruce we are coming up in may as far as I know onless thing change.My truck is mark at the us border so I won't bring my bow just to save time and hassell.But we will see about making it over for a visit.Well got to put this day in at work. later guys.

Hi guys, I hope the good weather comes this way Trent. Cub has been out and has caught a few trout in streams, but I'll wait until the bigger water opens on May 1st. The camp at Peltoma we went to was Kevin Mott's, I am not sure you know him. He seemed to be on his death bed last December but has rebounded and is gaining his health back. He had some kind of disease that his imune system attacked his own body, very rare, but does happen.
Still, the weekend I have the camp booked is June 16th, June 17th. Probably the best to do is meet me at my home in Fredericton jct, and leave your vehicle there or follow me to camp. The road isn't bad but I wouldn't suggest taking a car out. We will confirm grub and such later on as we will be sure as to who is going.

But I new that in advance cause I left the key under the bumper for the daughter to take cause her last trip in the car with the dog got messy in the back seat and she needed to take him to loose his pride, Latey he been very uncontroleable.So it was easier to clean my truck then the seat.So with that said I get a phone call at 7:30am while I'm at work and the daughter ask me what the secret was in opening the back of the truck cap. I said break the glass cause I lock it here and for got to leave the key. So there I was heading out to her place which is 13 1/2 miles away from work. I get there pass the key grab my rod and head back to work. Just left there place and there was a fat long beard tom walking across the road. Dave you be still in happy mode if you seen this huge turkey.Ok that all said I go out after work and try to catch a couple fish for dinner, first cast I land a 10 inch brown trout on the first cast.So I figure I throw it back in (After I get a pic) since it was the first cast and things was looking great |oo Nothing after that I walk about 2 miles brook walking and nothing. Next thing I no I'm walking right by a hen (Turkey) and never seen her til I got pass and she scare the hell out of me.So once I reach the point that I had enought I notice around me on the banks there was a few fiddle heads and I manage to pick a feed so early in the year.Tomorrow is going to rain all day so i'm not sure what to do this weekend.I got word from the daugther that the land right beside her is forsale and it is 3 arcer for $8000 which is a corner lot and kept mow and nice.I was out thursday and the cam got 14 pics on it and can not wait to see what is on it again this time.With that said dave do you want to see what turkeys look like on the daughters property ? ok just a minute and I will scan the photo and post it.

Ok the first one was not to good but you get the idea one more pic then i'm cutting you off dave. Both pics are about 60 yards from our blind and they will easy see our decoys . So I hope that you been practicing with that call. Cause you got more experience then me, night all --->

Dave you got any room in your vehicle for a couple more guys too go with you on your Turkey hunt in May. Man am I jelous of you and Trent. A turkey hunt is a hunt of my dreams and I think a buddy and I are going to try and go to Ontario for a hunt next year. who knows if I win the 25 mil tonight in the lottery I may go this year.
