Bozeman guys get Breaks buck

Met a couple of new friends from the Bozeman area over the weekend. They were in the area hunting deer with a mutual friend. Yesterday they got it all put together, and hit their goal of getting a buck while Greg's young son Bill was in on the stalk and there to witness the shot. Young Bill had been on a couple of very long hikes the day before and had definitely earned his stripes. He was pretty excited to see old dad make good the shot.
After the hunt, the guys all came by and warmed up here in the bunk house. While we were visiting, came to find out he knows several of you Hunt Talkers. We enjoyed their company and hope to see them again soon. Really fine guys.

I know Greg well, and he's as good a guy as they come!! Little Billy will be the same I'm sure as Greg does a great job getting field time with him!

Great buck! Congrats to them. I'm taking my 6yo for opening weekend this coming weekend and hope he gets to see a few.

That country and accomodations look great! I might need to pay a visit...

critter, he did mention that you were friends and we had some fun talking about your moose hunt this year. Round him and the kids up and come over some time, we will have some fun.
1-pointer you might as well fly into Billings after the indiana deer season ends. I'll come pick you up, I can tell you need a shot of Montana pretty bad. It's good medicine for old Hoosier boys.

Thanks for the awesome offer! I wish I could take you up on it this year, but it will have to wait. The work-leave account is tapped out. However, if this offer stands next year, I will plan my leave time better!

I'm taking my 6yo out for the opening weekend of gun season this year, which is this coming weekend. Might be interesting to see how long he can sit still. I just hope we see one. I've put him in charge of deciding if we shoot or not. I doubt he'll be having me pass up any bucks...or any deer for that matter!
