OMC/Bombardier (Evinrude/Johnson) owners are the best mechanics among all boat owners. By necessity and experience.

I was one of those guys. Only came back to the lodge on the kicker once but I worked on our fleet of evinrudes a lot, hated them.

Anyone else get the fishing bug this winter and pass the time looking at boat ads? If so, what are you looking to get?

As a newly repatriated Minnesotan, I am looking for a boat. Maybe your used one. The sort of benchmark bar that I have in mind is more or less a Lund Fury, with a 25 horse Yamaha, Suzuki, or Mercury motor in that order. For those that know, it is going to be a Basswood boat. Hence, the horsepower limit.

This may be a great year to buy a boat, it may not be a great year to float a boat! I’ve been wanting a boat again, I miss walleye fishing. Been thinking about a pontoon boat, so we can get all the grandkids involved.

Just mentioned to my wife i need a raft w/ frame- outboard for those hard to get waters with no boat launch.
