I had the opportunity to take two experienced Minnesota turkey hunters to the Black Hills for a turkey hunt. They bought the donated hunt in a Mayo Clinic "cancer research" fundraiser. A BIG SHOUT OUT to my friend Thomas in Chadron for helping out.

First day was cold and 30 mph winds. Very little activity. No birds killed.

Second day we went to the top of the mountain and hunted the ridge line. Lots of gobbling.and the weather was beautiful!!! I called in a Tom. He came in very fast after initial contact. It took 3 shots.... to finally subdue the bird. 1 decent shot.... 2 misses followed by a diving tackle to finish him off. Some good laughs.

Day three the other hunter set up on some birds that were roosted the previous evening. Lots of activity but no bird. The hunters looked across the open valley and saw 3 toms strutting. Off they went after the Toms. The second hunter soon filled his tag with a very nice Tom. They used a "grim reaper" to get his attention and it was all over very quickly.

A great time and new friends!!!! I took lots of photos of scenery. My feminine side came out with my wild flowers 🤣🤣🤣. Enjoy. Note: the first photo is sunrise... looking east over the plains and Badlands if South Dakota 😊.

I AM SO BLESSED IN LIFE AND THANK THE LORD FOR EVERYDAY THAT I LIVE ❤️.

I was hoping we would get a PDR turkey update. Turkeys sure live in awesome spots.

Congratulations to your hunters and thanks for the story
