Life is short, after lots of years of trying, I finally drew a Bighorn tag. I plan to use my Longbow for the hunt. After a short scouting trip I realized how much I need some more information pertaining to finding these elusive animals in such a large area. My permit is in the southern portion (south of Cottonwood Creek) where I started my scouting this last weekend. Any help would be appreciated by someone who has previously hunted this area. Thanks, Mike

What BluffGruff said. Come see us at the RMBS Sheep & Goat hunter Meet & Greet on June 21st. This is the event endorsed by CPW and they even included our event flyer in your hunter packet and emailed the flyer when they emailed you about the CPW webinar as well.

We have a few S33 hunters signed up already. Great way to network with the ram hunters and maybe make a plan to help each other out.

Thanks for the reply, and yes, I am signed up to attend the meet and greet on June 21st. Just trying to get my spirits up about the decision to keep the tag and go for it.

I had a ram sheep tag last year and had to hunt it solo. Wasn't successful but I'll be forever grateful for the experience. I left that hunt with so many crazy unbelievable stories. I hunted a different unit near there, rmbs was a huge help. I never saw a sheep scouting til early July, after many conversations with rmbs members. I also spent alot of time mapping where recent success happened from the harvest reports and confirming with scouting.

Sheep is a species like no other.

Ewe tags are tons of fun. I wouldn't say easy, though, just less pressure with more targets and opportunities. I've had 3 ewe tags and absolutely would do it again if any state would grant me a tag.
