BHA congressional contact link for writing your Senators and Reps about the public land selloff.

If that Initiative was enough to alienate someone, they were looking for the door long before. Reasonable people can disagree. But I'm also not sure he isn't a bot.
Gerald is correct. It did in fact alienate quite a few people that I knew. That’s what makes the issues so complicated. If corner crossing we’re driving across at the corners I can’t say I would be that excited about the opportunities it provides but I’m sure there are a bunch of people that are less than excited that it means walking across at the corner. It is the same with travel planning, I want it but I bet the corn dogs of the world don’t

Not saying he isn’t correct. I get it. I just would say the Corn dogs of the world only want what they want and the rest of us can go to hell. Kind of explains why nothing can be changed with mule deer seasons.

From my rep.. email I received yesterday after I sent him a message last week basically saying "not for sale"

Amodei Statement on House Passage of Budget Reconciliation Bill

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Mark Amodei issued the following statement after the House passed H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act:

“A few months ago, we were given an opportunity by the House Natural Resources Committee and House leadership to help alleviate land constraints faced by Nevada’s communities,” said Rep. Mark Amodei. “While the House reconciliation bill ultimately did not end up including my lands amendment, the fight is far from over. I will continue to push for the responsible management of underused lands in Nevada and ensure our state’s future is no longer jeopardized by excessive federal land ownership.”

I read a fascinating piece from one of the fisheries GMO's (which sadly, I cannot remember) which said Amodei wasn't grabbing land at all, but water. The blocks of land listed were all about getting a pipeline. Nothing to see here. If read Marc Reisner's "Cadillac Desert", you recognize a classic water theft in progress.

Here is another version of the same thing.

Water is gold. The Senator Pat McCarran award goes to Rep Mark Amodei

Interesting information. Ill read into that a bit more.

I agree with water being gold.

Thank you.

I for one feel they should teach acceptance of follicular diversity in schools.....

I used the link again today to write Senators Risch and Crapo. I modified the form letter to suit my needs.

You will notice that the text and addressees have been changed to reflect that this is a Senate fight now.

I've been hitting them too. Hope they are getting the message, but fear they are entrenched in their thinking.

Wish they had done something like this when close to 1 million acres of timber company land was sold off in NW Montana, most of it to a billionaire. Instead they were too busy endorsing the democrat governor and senator that allowed it to happen.
Corndog, what did you do to help your cause. Did you write your Senators or support any groups that were working to save this private land?

Timber company private property sold to a private citizen. What authority would a governor or a senator have to stop that transaction? What influence could a nonprofit like BHA have?
Willing seller, willing buyer private property transaction is a basic private property right.

When renewable development wanted public land and BHA wet themselves signing on,they claimed that doing so gave them a "seat at the table so no worries.. I guess that seat was at the kiddie table?

Now what we do know, is that Celeste Maloy, and Mike Lee reside in Utah(along with the Ken Ivory of the world). Meaning the fight is in Utah. Where is BHA rendevous again this year?

The "save our canyons" folks, do the heavy lifting here, and not one of thise hippies hunts, fishes, or traps.

And guaranteed, come midterms, BHA will sit in Mont or Laramie swilling IPA issuing press releases.

Point to the spot on the doll where BHA touched you.
