I may soon be in the market for a pack capable of 100 plus pound loads of wire and steel posts. I would like a solid shelf as I'm afraid the barbs would eat through a fabric shelf to quickly. Obviously it would double hauling quarters in the fall but its main purpose would be work.

Just trying to picture it in my mind.... One roll of wire (plain strand or barbed)? Posts? Light weight or heavy? What about post driver? Would seem to me that external frame is going to be the only way to go. How much room will you have? Need to carry the posts vertical or room to carry horizontal? Reason I am asking is that I have had to haul in sheep pens to high meadows for whatever reason.
