We went negative so lets now go positive. What has been your best guides/outfitters and experience's.
  1. Gulkana Raft Rentals/Northwest Alaska Backcountry Outfitters
    1. 10/10. I have used him for raft and equipment rental. As well as transport. Good guy. Very helpful. Honest. Wealth of info. Former Cabela's Outfitter
  2. Valdez Outfitters
    1. 10/10 Helpful and honest. We have gone on fishing trips with them and rented boats from them and gone ourselves. Always helpful
  3. Paradise Hunting Lodge
    1. 10/10 I have bear hunted with him. He treats you like family. You stay in his home. Quiet and relaxing

Gana River Outfitters NWT. Been there twice once for myself and once tagging along with a friend.
I have a hunt booked there for this year.
Fantastic outfit

Papa Bear Adventures out of Bethel AK for moose.
Outfitted but not guided. Fantastic Hunt.

Ultimate Alaska adventures. Tough hunting but Great outfit.

Southeast Alaska Guiding for goats.
Also fantastic.

Shane Scott outfitting matched me up with a great local guide when I had my Utah tag in 2022. I knew UT was a one and done for me. He also helped with an application strategy.
The Fish House in Seward AK put us on a great little 6 pack boat for halibut in 2007.
If you have a LE tag in Wyoming, Extreme Outfitters was great for my dad's antelope hunt this year (2025). Chance and I got along great

My sheep guide this year was awesome. Nathan Fowler with Rocky Mountain Outfitters of Colorado. They don't do much sheep guiding but if they do, Nathan is going to be the guide. Lives in the unit that I had my tag for. He loves hunting sheep. It really was 100% like hunting with a buddy who just happens to be in better shape than you, better at glassing than you, scouted the area and knows where the sheep are, and always has a positive attitude.

He went above and beyond every expectation that I had.

With that said, I could see how some people wouldn't have liked my hunt. It was not a nice wall tent with a cook type setting. We spiked out and ate mountain house. Like I said, like hunting with a buddy that is an awesome hunter.

I hunted twice with Stone Mountain Safaris , now Stone and Folding Mountain outfitters. Great areas right next to each other. They probably ho,d the most stone sheep tags in BC. GREAT CANADIAN moose area.

Biggerstaff Guides. Steve Biggerstaff Expensive, but if your looking for that once in a lifetime bull, deer or lion hes has some of the best access to private/public anywhere in the country for big elk.
