Im curious what everyone else is encountering out in the woods, in my neighborhood (western MT), I have been seeing a pretty abysmal berry crop. Likely the last cold snap towards the end of June that caused this? I wonder if there are bands high or low that survived where the berries either set or hadnt flowered yet?

I also read that the Flathead cherry crop is really hit or miss depending on the location. Wettest spring and early summer I have seen in decades but it looks like the heat is in route. Bummer for the berries. I’m curious about the grouse hatch this year too.

We’re seeing a below average huckleberry crop starting to show. We’ll see about thimbleberry. Seems like they might’ve been zapped.

I lost fruit from my cherry, apple, plum and pear trees this year. First time event. Raspberries, blackberries and blueberries are doing fine in the garden.

Went looking last weekend where we typically go in the upper Blackfoot, and though it is a few weeks early, I didn't see much for prospective berries where we usually do. I think that late frost may have done some detriment.

A local you pick blueberry farm near me is not opening this year due to loss from a late cold snap yet the ones in my yard are having the best year they ever have

Looks like huckleberries are a little behind schedule in some of my spots. Number of berries looks a little down but not completely lost

No apples, plums or apricots and choke cherries this year. Even the wild choke cherries didn't have much on them when we sailed by them that I could see.

Not an ideal year to have a fall bear tag. Or maybe they'll just be more concentrated when you do find em? Looks like ill hold off until next year for an out of state fall tag.

Chokecherries around me got hit hard, but there are still a couple hanging on. Hopefully the stuff higher up didn't bloom as early and fared a bit better- was really looking forward to picking a bunch for jam/syrup or other things.

Kansas will have its third year in a row with almost no sandplums. Even the mulberry trees produced way less than normal in my south central Kansas locations
